The magic continues with Elderwood's Twitch Craft, known lovingly as Tabitha, Tabs or Tabbie on the farm. She's the result of careful planning, genetic stacking, and a whole lot of patience. We'll start with the obvious - she's absolutely stunning - covered in spots from head to toe. The contrast between her spotting and base color contrast well making her such a standout in the pasture. Right now, she's tracking to be a big girl. She's correct in her confirmation and her cria fleece is displaying a lovely structure with defined bundles. We can't wait to see what her future holds!
Tabitha is sired by our multi-champion, appaloosa herdsire, Epic X Celstial Cygnus. He's a true game changer in the appaloosa and harlequin world! His blanket is next-level — high frequency, high amplitude spots with exceptional definition and consistency. He's sired by Enchanted Hill Lutau who comes from a bloodline we worked for nearly a decade to bring onto the farm. On his dam’s side, the influence of elite animals is undeniable. Snowmass Elite Celestial Legend is not only an appaloosa producer but also boasts fleece that scored in the Top 1% of EPDs across six categories in her teens. She’s sired by the highly decorated Snowmass Elite Legend (pictured), adding further strength and consistency to Cygnus’ lineage.
Her dam is one of our favorite girls, ELWD's Totally Bewitched (a.k.a. Samantha). She not only provided her daughter with her naming theme but also brings her own rare spotty genetics to the table. Sammie's one of only two registered offspring sired by WT Gold's Paiute and she's his only spotted offspring and only daughter. It's something that she shares with her dam, Aiko. An equally rare harlequin appaloosa female being the only registered offspring of the late, great TGA Mario. The number of "onlys" in this combination leaves us feeling so lucky to be able to continue these rare lines with Tabitha.
