ELWD's Little Miss Know It All

MFI Peruvian Monolith, known here as Mono, brought strong bone, a substantial frame, and dense fleece to our breeding program at Elderwood Farms in Millington, Tennessee. A champion son of MFI Peruvian Candyman, he certainly had the presence to match his name! Although Mono has been sold, his genetic line remains represented through his offspring. During his time here, we especially appreciated the uniformity, defined structure, and staple length he maintained as a mature male. His offspring also gave us much to appreciate, particularly their density, fleece organization, and reduced visible hairiness. Mono earned Color Champion and first place in halter at the 2014 PAOBA Breeders Showcase. Know It All provides a particularly meaningful connection to our patterned breeding program. Her dam, Missy, is the daughter of Excelsior’s Patriotic Spirit and champion Bentwood Alpacas Peruvian Calliope. Through that pairing, Mono’s Candyman genetics meet the Spirit and Curly Calib lines behind Missy, bringing together fleece-focused breeding and several generations of patterned production.
