Elderwood’s Lady Lyberty is a Harlequin Appaloosa Huacaya female with a freckled face, richly varied coloring, and deep roots in our breeding program. Bred here at Elderwood Farms in Millington, Tennessee, she has been retained for our spotted foundation herd. We have big plans for this girl! IMG_5DA07E7E-1204-4677-A7E6-FB00E21957CC.jpeg
Her sire, Excelsior’s Patriotic Spirit, earned first place in both halter and fleece at the 2018 AOA National Show. Lyberty is a paternal half sister to our retained herdsire ELWD’s Without a Hitch and eleven-time blue-ribbon winner Elderwood’s Maybe It Was Memphis.
Her dam, Lady Arabella Rose, has produced Harlequin Appaloosas through three different pairings. Lyberty is a maternal half sister to Elderwood’s Boomerang and ELWD’s Pixelated Chaos, and a granddaughter of Our Man Flint, our very first herdsire. We love that she connects the beginnings of Elderwood with the spotted genetics we’re developing today!
Notable Genetic Lines:
• SA Peruvian Black Epic - Through Spirit’s paternal line, via Hobby Horse Farm Great Expectations and Windspun WSA Patriotic Gentleman.
• NWA/Hearsum Paulo - Paternal great-grandsire and sire of Excelsior’s High Voltage Tazer.
• My Peruvian Zephyrus - Through his daughter Candlelight’s Cookies and Cream, Tazer’s dam.
• Aussie Rockford - Maternal great-grandsire through Alpaca Republic’s Kwanita; a son of PPeruvian Felix and Hannaruh.
Lyberty brings together patterned production through both parents and genetic lines we have deliberately kept in our herd. We’re excited to see her own contribution begin with her first cria. Contact us about future offspring and available alpacas carrying related genetics.
