Details
Our Man Flint was the first herdsire at Elderwood Farms, and he will always have a special place in our story. He was part of the beginnings of our breeding program in Millington, Tennessee, long before the herd grew into what it is today. Although Flint has been sold, his genetic line continues here through his daughter Lady Arabella Rose and her patterned offspring.

Flint combined a substantial frame and strong bone with fine, consistently crimped fleece. He was shown just once, earning first place in the mature fawn Huacaya class at the 2008 Alpacas in the Ozarks show. His production included white, fawn, dark brown, true black, rose grey, and Harlequin Appaloosa offspring, giving us plenty of color to appreciate along the way!

His full Peruvian pedigree brings together Our Peruvian Carnegie, a son of 4Peruvian Matador 6030, and A Peruvian Azalea, a daughter of PPPeruvian Dracula 6016. These genetic lines became part of the foundation on which we began building our herd.

Notable Offspring:

• Our Boy Jimmy - The first cria born at Elderwood Farms and one of our much-loved Farm Forevers.
• Lady Arabella Rose - Harlequin Appaloosa foundation female and dam of Elderwood’s Boomerang, Elderwood’s Lady Lyberty, and ELWD’s Pixelated Chaos.
• Elderwood’s Grand Susannah - Medium rose grey daughter.
• Elderwood’s Josie Rockford - Light fawn daughter.

Through Arabella, Flint’s line continues into another generation of Harlequin Appaloosas. Her daughter Lady Lyberty extends that maternal line within our herd, while Pixelated Chaos brings it together with Pine Valley’s American Patriot. Seeing those connections in the alpacas we raise today makes Flint’s place in our history all the more meaningful.

For us, Flint represents more than an early name in a pedigree. He connects our first breeding efforts to genetic lines we are still developing, and we are proud to see that story continue. Contact us about descendants and opportunities within this line.
