Elderwood’s Rumor Has It caught our attention the day she was born, and she has more than lived up to that early promise. With her distinctive fawn spot, beautiful phenotype, and exceptional fleece, this Elderwood-bred beige Huacaya female has earned her place in our foundation herd.
Rumor’s record includes three Color Championships, five Reserve Championships, 18 first-place ribbons, and Best Bred & Owned at the 2025 Michigan International Alpaca Fest. She also placed first in her Bred & Owned class at the 2025 AOA National Show and received 2026 AOA Invited Champion recognition.
Her Most Uniform Grade 1 award at the 2025 PNAA Innovative Fleece Assessment is a particular highlight for us. It speaks directly to the fleece consistency we value and hope to see in her future offspring.
Rumor is a daughter of Judge’s Choice winner Stillmeadow Farm Killarney and our champion, two-time Produce of Dam winner Elderwood’s Virginia Lee. Her maternal half sister, ELWD’s Wynter Is Coming, earned Judge’s Choice as a juvenile, and her maternal granddam, MFI & TNT Peruvian Festa, earned six championship banners. Rumor continues that family’s record of champions across three generations.
