Elderwood's Rumor Has It

Elderwood’s Virginia Lee earned our first championship banner in walking fleece at the 2019 Buckeye Alpaca Show, making this Elderwood-bred white Huacaya female especially meaningful to our program. Known here as Ginny, she has since become a champion-producing foundation dam at Elderwood Farms in Tennessee, with two Produce of Dam wins and daughters succeeding in their own right. Ginny has a solid frame, well-developed bone, and the head style we love. Her fleece has maintained its quality through her production years, and her offspring give us even more reason to value her. She has produced champions with both Stillmeadow Farm Blizzard and Stillmeadow Farm Killarney, along with a lightly spotted Appaloosa daughter by Excelsior’s Patriotic Spirit. Her sire, Snowmass Best in Velvet, brings multiple Judge’s Choice wins and National and Futurity recognition. Her dam, MFI & TNT Peruvian Festa, earned six championship banners and produced champions herself. With Ginny’s daughters adding their own accomplishments, this family represents championship success across three generations.
